How scoreboards work

You get one point for every party member you beat on each game, plus one. Your day's total is the sum of those points across every game your party plays.

Worked example

Three friends — Andy, Jenny, and Sam — play three games on 2026-04-21.

Stackdown: Andy 1st, Jenny 2nd, Sam 3rd → 3 / 2 / 1 points.
Number Waffle: Sam 1st, Andy 2nd, Jenny fails → 3 / 2 / 0 points.
Waffle: Jenny 1st, Sam 2nd, Andy 3rd → 3 / 2 / 1 points.

Day totals: Andy 6, Jenny 5, Sam 6. Andy and Sam tie for 1st — they arrived at 6 through different paths, and that's fine: overall ties are a normal outcome under this system.

Ties

If two players tie on a game, they share the higher rank's points. The next-ranked player is placed accordingly (e.g. 3, 3, 1 in a 3-player party).
Tied overall totals are allowed — the scoreboard will list players at the same overall rank when their daily totals match.

Unsolved or missed games

If you don't solve a game — or don't submit one at all — you earn 0 points for that game. The game still counts toward the ceiling of what you could have scored, so submitting consistently matters.

Per-game ranking rules

Each game decides how players are ranked (fewer guesses, faster time, more stars, etc.). The Borda point rule then converts those ranks into daily points.
